Subject Knowledge Enhancement courses are for applicants who are entering into Initial Teacher Training but are looking to develop the necessary subject knowledge for their chosen specialism.
It may be that your degree does not directly relate to your subject or you are a career changer and want to refresh your knowledge and learn how to apply it in the classroom - whatever your need, we would like to support you on your journey into teacher training.
We offer SKEs in the following subjects:
* Biology
* Chemistry
* Physics
* Maths
* English Language
* Computing
* Modern Foreign Languages
* Religious Education
Eligibility:
* Confirmed place on ITT course
* Degree 2:2 or above
* Completion of degree more than 5 years ago
or
* Degree not direct match for the subject you wish to teach
Our courses will utilise an online learning platform plus direct feedback from a mentor via video calls.
Course length varies depending on need and age phases being taught and attracts a bursary for completed hours studied.
