AMP SCITT launches new Assessment-Only ITT route

AMP SCITT has introduced a new Assessment-Only ITT option — a fast, rigorous route to Qualified Teacher Status for experienced educators who are already meeting professional teaching standards in practice.

This pathway gives schools a strategic way to recognise proven talent and helps unqualified teachers secure QTS without repeating training they’ve already mastered. Candidates complete a focused assessment window, with start dates agreed with their school.

Alison Brady, Head of SCITT said: “Schools know their talent pipeline better than anyone. This route gives leaders a practical way to back the people who are already delivering in the classroom and deserve formal recognition. It’s a focused pathway that rewards proven skill, accelerates progression and strengthens workforce capacity.”
